Hyouge Mono is an anime television series adapted from Hyouge Mono - Tea for Universe, Tea for Life manga by Yoshihiro Yamada. The manga won the Grand Prize in the 14th Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prizes earlier this year.
The story is set during Japan's Sengoku Jidai (Era of the Warring States) and centers on Sasuke Furuta, a vassal of the great warlord Nobunaga Oda and a man obsessed with tea ceremony and material desires in his pursuit of a fortuitous life. Having learned from Oda and the legendary tea master Sen no Soueki, Furuta walks the way of the "Hyouge Mono". (ANN synopsis).
