Super Cosplay War Ultra - SCWU | Anime Screenshot Collections

Super Cosplay War Ultra, or SCWU for short, is a versus fighting game.

Once you start the game, and have gotten through all the company logos and whatnot, you'll arrive at the main menu. The main menu only has two options: Single and VS 2P.

As the name implies, there is A LOT of cosplaying in this game.. However, at the character selection screen, you can only see their "basic forms".

I started the game by using the prettiest girl character :P

As it's cosplay, you should be prepared to see TONS of anime (and game) references.

If you chose Single mode, you'll then be brought into a "battle" where you have to choose between "Normal" and "Battle Royale" mode. To choose, you simply attack the respective board.

First up- Normal Mode.

Normal mode is.. normal. lol. As you can see, instead of calling it "Rounds", they chose to call it "Dress".

To win the dress, you must reduce the enemy's HP to 0, or his health must be lower than yours when the 99-second time limit ends (but isn't that obvious enough?).

Each character has an anime or game their cosplay is based around, and for Dido (this girl), it's Virtual On.

As with most versus games, this game also includes special attacks for their characters.

I love this special attack ^^

Once you have won two dresses, you win the match, and you move onto the next round.

I'm not too sure how many rounds there are until the final boss though.. Haven't had the time to reach him yet ^^;

Now- Battle Royale.

In Battle Royale, you go up against two opponents, but you have a partner to help you.

The woman with the green bar below her is my partner. My character is Giant, BTW. ^^;

As with Normal mode, the objective is to drop the enemy's HP to 0. However, in this mode there is no time limit, and you have to kill a few enemies (not sure how many) before it is considered your victory.

In this mode, only one dress is needed for the match to be declared yours.

I'm not too sure how many matches the Battle Royale is though.. Didn't have the time to fully explore this mode either.

BTW- if you lose a match in either mode, you need not worry. There is an unlimited amount of continues for you, so you can keep trying 'til you die of boredom ^^;

The game's plus points are:

[1] Fantastic graphics- everything is animated! Even the backgrounds are animated (there's even one background with people dancing in it..).
[2] With almost every attack made, there is cosplay involved.
[3] All that cosplaying gives the game more replay value, and makes you want to try every character.
[4] Fully voiced!

Overall, this is a very good game. It's very well made, although the artwork in the character selection screen could use a little work.. It's rather addictive, and my dinner went cold because I was spending too much time on this game. orz

Downloading via that link requires you to download it in 3 parts from RapidShare, so unless you have a premium account, it could take a while..
